Defend democracy and nurture the transatlantic relationship, inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville’s vision

NOS INITIATIVES

Debate

Overcoming disagreements through dialogue and exchange to build consensus

We want to foster open dialogue with all and organize conferences and roundtables that bring together a diverse range of speakers, including politicians, intellectuals, and civil society leaders, from both sides of the Atlantic. These gatherings foster vibrant transatlantic dialogue and provide a unique platform for exchanging ideas on the pressing democratic challenges of our time. By embracing a variety of backgrounds and viewpoints, these discussions deepen understanding, challenge assumptions, and nurture collective reflection.

Through these initiatives, we aim to transcend divisions by encouraging open, respectful debate that ultimately helps build consensus around shared values and solutions.

Our Actions

The Tocqueville Foundation, Le Figaro and The Atlantic Council are co-organizing the Tocqueville Conversations, bringing together politicians, intellectuals and civil society actors from both sides of the Atlantic. It fosters an open debate with global and thought leaders and civil society, including students.

In collaboration with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation,  the Roundtable brings together great leaders of civil society from different cultures of the world, encouraging open debate with entrepreneurs and philanthropists.
